Canisters are an unseparable part of the tinting process. They need to be taken good care of. If you want to get the most of Redlike, do read the following manual about how to manage them correctly.
What and Where
- what – Canister screen provides an overview of canisters status, or more precisely the colorants status
- where – you can find it in the quick access panel or the dropdown menu (based on your settings)
How
- above the preview, there is an information about how many canisters there are
- at the same level, there is a full-text filter (search) function
- the order of the canisters can be ordered by clicking at the top panel of the preview according to:
- ID number
- Colorant name
- Current level of colorants in the canisters
- Minimum level of colorants in the canisters
- there are two lines visible at each colorant
- the leftmost one marks the minimum (critical) amount of colorant (under which dispensing is not possible)
- the right one marks the warning amount of colorant (under which Redlike will notify you that the canister should be refilled)
When clicking on some colorant, a detailed view shows up, this contains:
General Information:
- the name of the colorant,
- preview of its colour
- canister refill history – the history of refills of the given colorant and its current status showing UFIs and batches (if allowed in settings)
Canister Information
- current level – how much colorant the canister contains at the moment – requires privileges to be edited (default machine unit is ml but this can be changed – read below)
- capacity – maximal volume of the canister
- fill state – how much colorant is left in the canister in %
- channels – what channel(s) is/are the canister connected to
- UFI code – EU denotation of toxicity of the chemical, must be allowed in settings to be shown
Available Service Actions
- Move table to refill – if the table of the dispenser is movable, this function will rotate it to bring the correct canister into the position in which the colorant can be refilled
- Add – add any amount of colorant in the given machine unit (requires privileges)
- Colorant package – if there are data about colorant packages in the database, each package will be shown as a button
- Fill to max – after filling the canister into its maximum, use this function to let Redlike know (requires privileges)
- Refill – start refilling action, the amount will be specified during the action itself
- Purge – start the purge action for the colorant (the action must be supported by the dispenser)
- Smart purge – if the smart purge conditions are met, the purge does not perform (the feature must be supported by the dispenser)
System Warning Amount
- minimum amount – the borderline of minimal amount (described above)
- warning amount – the borderline of warning amount (described above)
- max dispensing amount – the maximal amount of the colorant which can be dispensed at once (requires privileges to be edited)
The machine unit can be managed in Machine Settings but DO NOT FORGET to save your settings and restart RCC afterwards
