In this manual, we would like to present you the most important part of Redlike and how to operate it: formula panel.
The formula screen can look like this but it is highly customisable:
It can be divided into two main parts:
- Formula Panel,
- Preview Panel.
Formula Panel
- formulas allow us to search through the database and select a particular colour,
- for this purpose, use the searching panel
- searching is possible from the very top downwards or the other way around (i.e. starting with the product or colour name directly)
- after selecting a particular colour, three things happen:
1. you can see all colorants and their amounts which the formula consists of and you can change their units of measurement in the menu below as well as edit the colorants (if you do not want these features on, simply turn them off in formula settings –> edit colorants) BE AWARE – both of these functions can be disabled by admin users.
- after double-clicking some of the colorants, the possibility to refill it will occur
- colorants can be changed in ml/g/shots
- edit colorants using scaling – add or remove as many % as you wish
2. below colorants, you will see notes about the colour taken from the database (there might be none), you can open all those notes in a special window by clicking on the three-dots icon at the end of the row
- if colorants are edited, the colorants field will be highlighted in blue to signalise the change and a button “Save as” will show up which allows you to save the newly created formula as a customised version (this will open a new tab “Custom” where the formula can be saved)
- if there is a historical formula of the colour, there is a special button History which opens the menu of all possible historical formulas in the database
3. a detailed preview shows up on the right side of the screen – this is called the Preview Panel:
Preview Panel
- first of all, you can see if you are dealing with an official formula directly from the database or a local custom formula
- various product files from the database can be opened, read and printed out
- the colour can be added into favourites
- the preview can show notes, picture of the product (if in database and if enabled in formula settings –> set formula preview – more info or image) and a preview of the chosen colour,
- the number of packages (on the left),
- the available sizes of the can (in the middle – if there are more sizes than showing at the moment, you can use the navigation arrows on the sides to show more), and
- custom size which can be set in litres or kilograms (option to disable in formula settings –> allow custom package size)
- the prices are calculated whereas the menu of available prices can be adjusted (to learn more about price setting click here)
- if not used, this panel can be removed completely
- if added margins, these can be applied, too
- it is also possible to use different currencies
- the formula can be assigned to a specific customer to keep track of their history
- on the following screenshot, no customer is assigned but when clicking on the three-dots button on the right, we can either add a new customer or select an already existing one
- in order to create a new customer, Name is the only required field
- it is also possible to filter the existing customers by the filter option above the customer list
- dispensing notes can by added by clicking on the three-dots button at the end of the row
- in the print settings (environment settings –> print settings) printer, templates, automatic printing and the number of copies can be managed
- depending on the settings, the user can see print, dispensing and order buttons, each of which performs the described action
- ordering (sending an order to a target machine or another computer) requires one more step:
- after submitting the order, a pop-up with Order overview will show up so you can check your selection once more:
